A continuous flight auger is typically seen on larger piling rigs. If your project requires large diameter piles, GB Foundations has the experience and correct operational skills to use drilling rigs to fulfil the requirements of your pile design.
Technique
- Using a length of hollow stem auger, a pile is drilled to depth.
- The auger is slowly extracted from the pile, during extraction the hollow stem auger pumps concrete directly into the hole at a controlled rate.
- An on-board computer ensures that while the auger is removed, the concretes structural integrity is maintained.
- During extraction the excess soil is removed with the conical structure of the auger.
- A wire frame is sometimes installed for added structural reinforcement.
